Ritter Sport Chocolate Affogato

A chocolate-espresso shot shaken to an icy froth and poured over ice cream -- Chocolate Affogato is the perfect dessert choice when you want something that's wildly delicious, super easy, and incredibly elegant!

📍 Affogato Trivia 

An affogato is a common dessert in Italy. The Italian word for this dish translates to ‘drowned.’ It's named for the fact that vanilla gelato is topped with a hot espresso shot, swimming in it as it goes down.
 

🍫 Recipe

 
For those who love the combination of chocolate and coffee, this Ritter Sport Affogato is the dessert for you! 


 

Ingredients -  

  1. 160 ml Whole Milk
  2. 60g Ritter Sport 74% Intense from Peru 
  3. 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder 
  4. 0.5 tbsp Corn-starch
  5. 1 tsp Brewed Coffee 
  6. 2 scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream 

     

    👩‍🍳Method - 

    • In a saucepan, add milk, chocolate, cocoa powder, and corn-starch. And stir on low heat until everything combines well. 

    • Bring to a boil and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute until the chocolate thickens. 

    • Add in salt and coffee extract and mix well.

    • Place a scoop of Ice cream in a cup, bowl, or plate and pour over the hot chocolate. 



      The Chocolate Affogato is ready!
